Financial Analyst - Global Key Accounts

LOCATION: Hamburg or Manchester

REPORTS TO: Commercial Finance & Pricing Manager, EMEA

The Financial Analyst for Global Key Accounts (GKA) plays a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and delivering financial insights, planning, and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making within the GKA division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial assessments of monthly performance for Global Key Accounts, Regionally supported accounts, and Regional Key Accounts, elucidating the primary factors influencing variances.
  • Assist in pricing and contract negotiations by formulating and revising pricing strategies based on the latest cost data and forecasts.
  • Support GKA in conducting profitability assessments, contract evaluations, rebate analyses, modeling payment term extensions, and other ad-hoc financial analyses.
  • Provide comprehensive GKA analysis and reporting, driving initiatives for Gross Profit forecasting and Gross margin enhancement.
  • Cultivate collaborative and influential relationships with key stakeholders within Global Key Accounts.
  • Build partnerships with essential contacts across various departments: Corporate Finance and Accounting, Regional Finance and Operations, and Go-to-Market teams. Lead or assist project teams in translating complex and ambiguous technical concepts into actionable business strategies.

Essential qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficient understanding of balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and working capital analysis.
  • Advanced skills and proven experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong business acumen, particularly in commercial processes and customer engagement.
  • Ability to analyze financial outcomes and evaluate the financial/strategic implications of business decisions.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
