The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing audit and accounts projects, delivering financial statements to timetable, and providing technical accounting support to other functions. You will work closely with our management accountant colleagues to monitor entity performance and deal with challenges as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full ownership and timely delivery of the company's statutory accounts and audit projects.
  • Technical review of individual legal entity management accounts throughout the year.
  • Development of a strong and collaborative relationship with the auditor.
  • Production of technical accounting papers and quality audit schedules.
  • Engagement and influence with internal corporate functions for audit project support.
  • Monitoring of legal entity compliance.
  • Plan and lead key project meetings.
  • Deliver improvement projects within the service centre.

Key Qualifications

  • Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA etc.).
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge in a common GAAP (IFRS, UK GAAP etc.).
  • Initiative-taker and problem solver.
  • Precise communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
