Senior Clean Water Modeller

As we expand our operations, we are seeking to recruit multiple Senior Clean Water Modellers across various locations in the UK. In this role, you will spearhead our efforts in delivering modelling, calibration, and analytical expertise for a diverse array of clean water initiatives.

About Our Team:

The RPS Water Consultancy team is composed of skilled professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive Asset Management and Operational Strategy development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical development and execution of clean water hydraulic models, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Lead modelling project teams on a variety of water infrastructure assignments.
  • Manage project team members, providing day-to-day leadership, workload organization, and technical guidance.
  • Ensure the quality of modelling outputs aligns with industry standards and governance requirements.
  • Responsible for the commercial performance and forecasting of projects, including the preparation of bids and proposals.
  • Foster and maintain strong collaborative relationships with clients.
  • Drive continuous improvement in modelling tools, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and innovation.
  • Maintain oversight of project work programs and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to risk management and commercial performance, including bid preparation.
  • Manage health, safety, quality, and environmental considerations for all projects.

About You:

  • A degree in a relevant technical field is preferred; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
  • Proficient in water modelling software such as InfoWorks WS, Synergi Water, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with MS 365 applications, particularly advanced Excel and Visual Basic.
  • Experience with GIS systems (preferably MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Strong expertise in hydraulic modelling and related water infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with client standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Capable of managing small to large modelling projects and work programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Chartered membership (or progress towards) of relevant professional institutions (CIWEM, IOW, ICE, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • A valid driving license is preferred.
