The Role: Automotive Business Development Manager

We are seeking a driven and experienced Automotive Business Development Manager to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in expanding our portfolio of Adult Technical Training, HGV, Light Vehicle, and Autocare apprenticeship programs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Engage Employers: Identify and connect with automotive and logistics organizations to generate commercial funded starts for our training programs.
  • Pursue Opportunities: Actively seek out new leads and opportunities, developing compelling propositions and building strong relationships across key sectors.
  • Generate Leads: Drive lead generation through field sales, networking events, and presentations to secure new employer accounts and position Dovetail and Slate Ltd as the preferred training provider.
  • Maximize Relationships: Manage and strengthen existing employer relationships to secure repeat business and foster long-term partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Functional skills at Level 2 in English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent qualifications.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a Business Development role, consistently achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Experience within the apprenticeship training sector, specifically in selling commercial training solutions.
  • A strong track record of building trust and relationships with businesses to deliver results.
  • Experience in traveling, meeting clients, and attending networking events.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
