Position Overview

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is committed to providing a range of systemic evaluations and interventions tailored for children, adolescents, and their families. We are currently seeking to recruit two qualified Senior Family and Systemic Psychotherapists for our CAMHS services.

Key Responsibilities

As a Family Therapist, you will manage a clinical caseload, directly supporting individuals facing significant mental health challenges, often complicated by trauma, and who may be involved with multiple agencies. Your primary duties will include:

  • Delivering systemic psychotherapy at a specialist level independently.
  • Conducting thorough psychological and systemic assessments of children, adolescents, and families, including risk assessments.
  • Providing written and verbal systemic formulations to facilitate evidence-based clinical interventions for complex cases.
  • Implementing tailored care packages of specialized therapeutic interventions, utilizing various systemic models.
  • Offering expert one-on-one clinical consultations to fellow clinical staff regarding Family Therapy and Systemic Psychotherapy, assisting in formulation and care planning.
  • Providing guidance and consultancy to local teams and partner agencies, promoting the integration of informed systemic practices.
  • Supervising newly qualified systemic psychotherapists and trainees.
