Position Overview
We are in search of a Lead Biomedical Engineer specializing in Electro-Biomedical Engineering (EBME) who aligns with our mission to deliver exceptional care and outstanding service to our patients.
We are looking for a creative, highly proficient, and meticulous Lead Clinical/EBME Engineer to become a vital part of our energetic team within the EBME workshop, which is dedicated to achieving ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate robust technical knowledge, remarkable problem-solving skills, and a dedication to upholding the highest levels of safety and dependability in medical apparatus. The successful applicant will be required to operate across various sites as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
The primary role of a Lead Clinical/EBME Engineer is to guarantee the optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance of a diverse array of medical devices and systems, encompassing low, medium, and high-risk categories.
The responsibilities of a Lead Clinical Engineer include:
- Management of medical equipment
- Commissioning and decommissioning of devices
- Corrective and preventive maintenance
- Calibration and testing procedures
- End-user support and training
- Conducting safety and risk assessments
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and guidelines

Experience Requirements
Essential
- Experience in delivering front-line customer service
- Proficiency in using safety testers, calibration, and other testing equipment
- Experience with high-risk medical equipment

Qualifications
Essential
- BTEC / ONC in Electronic Engineering/Biomedical Engineering (Level 5) or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
Skills

- Understanding of the risks associated with the use of various medical equipment
- Electronic engineering skills, including the use of testing and measuring equipment, component handling, fault diagnosis, and interpretation of technical manuals and circuit diagrams
- Engineering skills, including the use of testing and measuring equipment, component assembly, and interpretation of technical drawings
- Proficiency in MS Windows and Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) for document management and spreadsheet creation
- Ability to utilize computerized equipment management databases
- Capability to provide guidance, instruction, and training to small groups of staff in relevant areas
- Willingness to travel to various sites to meet service needs
Desirable
- Evidence of ongoing participation in formal and informal technical training throughout career
- Experience in the maintenance and performance evaluation of clinical equipment
- Experience in a clinical setting, considering patient safety, dignity, and infection control
