About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the EBME workshop at East and North Herts NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal functionality, safety, and compliance of a wide range of medical equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain medical equipment, including commissioning, decommissioning, corrective and preventive maintenance, calibration, and testing.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clinical staff on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in electro-biomedical engineering, medical equipment management, or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise, including knowledge of medical equipment, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical staff and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and patient safety.
  • Good organizational, prioritization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
