Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Lead to join our team at Mane Contract Services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of mechanical solutions for complex weapons and weapon systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical solutions across various stages of the Product Life Cycle, from Mechanical Future Concepts to Production and In-service Support.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective design and development of mechanical solutions.
  • Develop and lead mechanical design work packages, ensuring compliance against requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.
  • Engage with suppliers and internal teams to ensure effective design and development of mechanical solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mechanical design and development.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and development, with a focus on complex systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Relevant 3D CAD/CAE experience, with training provided on our preferred tools.
