Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Mane Contract Services. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of mechanical solutions for complex weapons and weapon systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of mechanical design work packages and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Design and develop mechanical solutions across various stages of the Product Life Cycle, from Mechanical Future Concepts to Production and In-service Support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other systems.
  • Develop and maintain robust design documentation and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and contribute to the development of engineering processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and development, with a strong understanding of CADMID (Concept, Design, Manufacturing, Installation, and Decommissioning) processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD/CAE tools, with experience in structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis.
