Lead Mechanical Project Engineer

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in project management and leadership. You will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management
  2. Lead mechanical projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  3. Team Leadership
  4. Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  5. Technical Support
  6. Provide technical support for projects and assist with commissioning and handover works for plant and user equipment.
  7. Contractual Compliance
  8. Ensure contractual compliance for your team relating to performance metrics and SLAs.
  9. Asset Management
  10. Ensure asset information is accurate and up to date, making recommendations for changes where required and fully engaging in the LCAM process.
  11. Engineering Tasks
  12. Carry out engineering tasks related to planned and reactive work activities.
  13. Communication
  14. Effective communication with the users and the engineering department regarding progress to date and advise on any delays or risks to work scheduled in a prompt and professional manner.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Qualifications
  2. C&G/NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or other.
  3. Experience
  4. Previous FM experience (desirable but not essential).
