About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Post Office Counter Clerk to join our team at The Midcounties Co-operative. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling postal and financial services, and ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment.
  • Manage cash handling and cash management procedures, ensuring the security and integrity of our cash handling processes.
  • Operate computer systems and software, accurately processing transactions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up-to-date with changes in policies, procedures, and cash management practices.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate computer systems and software.
