Job Title: Senior Dental Officer - Special Care Adults and Children

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Dental Officer to join our team in Oxfordshire Community Dental Service. As a Senior Dental Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to special care adults and children, including those who are medically compromised.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide routine and emergency oral healthcare to patients.
  2. Provision of dental care for special care children and adults, including those who are medically compromised.
  3. Work within current local and national guidelines for providing dental care.
  4. Be involved in the paediatric dental outpatient general anaesthesia service.
  5. Provide care for homeless persons.
  6. Provide domiciliary care for patients who are unable to access the dental clinics.
  7. Participate in any screening, epidemiology, and other dental public health activities that the service provides.
  8. Liaise with colleagues in hospitals, primary care, and local authorities to ensure and improve the quality of patient care.
  9. Work collaboratively and support the various teams and staff in Oxfordshire Community Dental Service.
  10. Manage the day-to-day operations and staff of clinics in liaison with the other Senior Dental Officers/Lead Clinicians/Specialists.

Requirements:

  1. Full registration with the General Dental Council and a current performer number are essential for the post.
  2. A full driving licence is essential.
