Job Summary:

Hatched Recruitment UK is seeking a highly experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team in Lewisham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of work with Looked After Children in Lewisham Children's Social Care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Chair statutory reviews of Children Looked After in accordance with legislation, ensuring plans for children progress appropriately.
  • Contribute to the development of practice in relation to Looked after Children in Lewisham.
  • Provide advice and consultation to social workers and team managers on specific issues of complexity.

Requirements:

  • Must have a social work qualification and experience as a statutory independent reviewing officer with children in care to Local Authorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £37.70.
  • A 3-6 month contract with the possibility of extension.
  • A hybrid working arrangement, with the majority of the role being remote and approximately 1 day in the office.
