Sellick Partnership Limited is seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Senior Planning Lawyer to join our client, One Legal, a shared legal service between four councils in Gloucestershire. As a Senior Planning Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of legal advice and support in relation to planning matters, including development management, planning policy, and community infrastructure levy work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of lawyers and legal officers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
- Provide expert advice on complex planning matters, including planning appeals and judicial reviews, and represent the council at planning committee meetings and hearings.
- Develop and implement planning policies and strategies to support the council's development plans and objectives.
- Work closely with other departments, such as planning and development, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with significant experience in planning law and a strong understanding of the planning system.
