MWH Treatment is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to bolster our SHEQ team within the Scottish Water Framework. This role will focus on providing essential health and safety support across construction sites, mobile workplaces, offices, and other operational areas in the Aberdeen/Dundee region.

Reporting directly to the SHEQ Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Supporting Regional Management Teams: Providing guidance and expertise to regional management teams to ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Implementing HSE Guidance: Assisting regional management teams in the effective implementation of HSE guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Auditing and Inspections: Conducting thorough audits and inspections across various work environments, including construction sites, mobile workplaces, offices, and other facilities, to verify compliance with legislative requirements and internal health and safety management systems.
  • Problem Resolution: Monitoring the resolution of identified health and safety issues to ensure timely and effective corrective actions.
  • Incident Investigation: Leading investigations into accidents and incidents to determine root causes and identify valuable learning points for continuous improvement.
  • Risk Assessment Support: Collaborating with regional management teams and employees to develop comprehensive risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Documentation Management: Contributing to the development and maintenance of essential safety-related documentation, including manuals, procedures, guidance notes, and forms.
  • External Liaison: Maintaining effective communication with clients, HSE inspectors, and external assessors.
