We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our Family Solutions team in Chelmsford. As a Social Worker - Family Worker, you will play a key role in working with families to build strong relationships and promote positive change.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with families to understand their needs and develop effective intervention plans.
- Provide practical and specialist advice to families, as well as coordinating additional support services where necessary.
- Manage your own caseload and prioritize tasks to ensure effective case management.
- Identify and manage safeguarding risks to children, taking a lead on this area of practice for the team.
- Support team members and liaise with professionals outside of Family Solutions to achieve positive outcomes for families.
- Qualified Social Worker with experience of working with families with multiple and complex needs.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a track record of building positive professional relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using supervision effectively.
- Experience of applying a solution-focused approach and providing practical advice and support to families.
- Ability to work in partnership with others to maximize outcomes for families.
As a Social Worker - Family Worker with Essex County Council, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative team environment. You will receive regular supervision and training to help you develop your skills and knowledge.
