About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Family Solutions team as a Social Worker, working with families with multiple and complex needs. As a Link Family Worker, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with families, promoting positive change, and providing practical and specialist advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management: Determine the direction and actions required to progress cases forward, recognizing when key decisions need to be referred to the Team Manager or Practice Supervisor.
  • Advice and Guidance: Act as a source of advice, guidance, and support to colleagues, providing mentorship and guidance to support case discussions.
  • Assessment and Intervention: Undertake holistic assessments of family needs, creating intervention plans and identifying outcomes that reflect the family's views and aspirations. Deliver interventions, including group work programs, to support families in making positive changes.
  • Complex Family Meetings: Facilitate complex family meetings, managing competing views to find achievable solutions.
  • Programs of Work: Undertake individual and group programs of work to enable children and families to develop skills to resolve issues and problems themselves.
  • Support and Supervision: Provide specific practical, personal, and emotional support to families, participating in regular supervision to review work and ensure effective interventions.
  • Effective Practice: Embed the principles of effective practice in service delivery, working collaboratively with staff and partners to ensure effective risk management.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Social worker qualification, registered with Social Work England, and post-ASYE experience.
  • Skills and Experience: Evidence of continuing professional development, good knowledge in relevant professional areas, and commitment to evidence-based practice. Significant practical experience working with families with multiple and complex needs.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Effective communication skills, good problem-solving skills, and a demonstrable track record of building and sustaining positive professional relationships.
  • Partnership Working: Ability to work in partnership with others to maximize outcomes for families, in line with the Family Solutions operating principles.
