About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our dynamic and supportive Approved Mental Health Service (AMHP) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead statutory Mental Health Act assessments and manage high-risk cases.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to ensure a joined-up approach to care.
  • Supervise AMHPs and ensure compliance with legislative standards.
  • Coordinate referrals and allocate workloads efficiently.
  • Operate flexibly to support the team beyond regular office hours.

What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
  • Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) status under the Mental Health Act 1983.
  • Significant experience managing complex cases, providing mentorship, and promoting good practice.
  • Strong collaborative skills to build relationships with partner agencies and community networks.
  • Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle (or alternative mobility arrangements).
