About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Atlas Copco. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for controlling all capital expenditure, statutory reporting, and tax compliance. You will also provide financial insights to our R&D function, ensuring that our business operations are optimized and aligned with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Statutory Accounting and Tax Compliance

Produce accurate and timely statutory accounts, along with supporting evidence and reconciliations.

Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including Corporation tax, VAT, and RDEC submissions.

Coordinate the external audit process and promote best practices in internal control compliance.

Fixed Asset Management

Support investment applications and provide follow-up and reporting.

Maintain and verify the fixed asset register.

Monitor R&D capital projects and conduct impairment reviews.

Business Partnering and Collaboration

Act as a Finance Business Partner to the R&D function, providing analysis, insights, and recommendations to aid decision-making.

Provide finance training to non-finance teams to develop financial acumen.

Support the finance team in completing month-end close, forecasting, and business planning activities.

Continuous Improvement

Support and drive digitalization and continuous improvement projects within the finance department and across other departments.

Requirements
  • Hands-on experience in statutory accounts preparation and tax compliance.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SysPro, SAP, or similar).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to deliver accurate, timely information and narrate the numbers.
  • Able to deliver concise, simple communication tailored to the audience.
  • Well-organized and structured approach.
  • Approachable and pragmatic.

  • An interest in AI and digitalization.
