An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Transport Planning Supervisor to join a leading Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain company in Coventry.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Transport Planners, developing and implementing effective planning strategies, and ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators within the planning department.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team of Transport Planners to achieve departmental goals.
  2. Develop and implement planning strategies to optimize logistics operations.
  3. Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure departmental success.
  4. Coach and mentor team members to enhance performance and skills.
  5. Ensure adherence to legal and company policies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

  1. Proven experience in transport planning and logistics operations.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Sound knowledge of logistics software and systems.
  4. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and make informed decisions.
