Senior Backend Engineer - Python

Location: Flexible with Hybrid Work Model

Compensation: £90,000 - £120,000

Role Responsibilities:

Join us as a Senior Backend Engineer, where you will lead our innovative backend team. In this pivotal technical position, you will develop outstanding microservices and distributed systems utilizing Python, Terraform, and AWS technologies. Your contributions will include writing code, promoting best practices, guiding the team through technical hurdles, and advocating for excellence in software development. Your expertise will influence the technical trajectory of our services, ensuring they are scalable, high-performing, and maintainable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in backend engineering.
  • 3+ years in a technical leadership role or team management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python.
  • Strong understanding of systems architecture, including microservices, continuous integration, and deployment.
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and leading engineers.
  • Collaborative approach with various engineering teams.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
