About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at Futureheads Recruitment | B Corp™. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP and Laravel.
  • Implement and optimize database structures, queries, and performance.
  • Collaborate with front-end development to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Ensure code quality, security, and best practices are maintained.
  • Contribute to the development of our online learning platform, leading health clinic, therapist training program, and YouTube series.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in backend development, with a strong emphasis on PHP and Laravel.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of front-end build tools and package managers (e.g., npm, yarn).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
