About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Lead to join our team as a Regional Mechanical and Electrical Operations Manager. This is a key role that will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our data centre systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to our data centre managers and site engineers to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to our data centre operations, ensuring compliance with established safe systems of work.
  • Change Management: Review and approve change requests, ensuring that they are aligned with our business objectives and do not compromise the safety and integrity of our facilities.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our site engineers and management team.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure that our data centre operations are compliant with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Maintenance and Asset Management: Plan and oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance, ensuring that our assets are properly maintained and that deferred maintenance is minimized.
  • Energy Management: Support our energy management programs, working closely with our project manager to ensure that our data centre operations are energy-efficient and sustainable.
  • Project Collaboration: Collaborate with our project manager to ensure that our data centre projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), formal electrical training, and a full UK driving license.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a demanding data centre environment, client-facing roles, and people management.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of data centre services, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
