Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical electrical and mechanical equipment within our data centre facilities. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and reliable functioning of our infrastructure, supporting Amazon's mission to provide world-class cloud computing services.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a range of electrical and mechanical equipment, including generators, switchboards, UPS systems, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level issues, identifying and resolving technical problems promptly and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry best practices throughout all operations.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data centre maintenance or a related field, ideally with technical training (military or trade school).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and web-based operational tools.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites.
