Position Overview

The Fuller and Forbes Partnership is seeking to appoint a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic nursing team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional healthcare services across our various locations, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

- Treatment Room Care: Provide comprehensive treatment room services, including wound care, immunizations, and chronic illness management.

- Health Assessments: Conduct thorough health evaluations, screenings, and routine diagnostic procedures such as ECGs and blood pressure checks.

- Care Planning: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment strategies for various acute and chronic health conditions.

Health Promotion:

- Preventative Services: Deliver a range of health promotion initiatives, including sexual health services, and engage in community wellness programs.

- Patient Education: Provide informative support to patients regarding health management, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.

Chronic Condition Management:

- Specialized Clinics: Organize and oversee clinics focused on long-term health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and COPD.

- Care Protocols: Adhere to established protocols for managing chronic health issues and maintain accurate disease registers.

- Patient Monitoring: Regularly assess and adjust care plans based on patient health status.

Immunization Responsibilities:

- Vaccine Administration: Administer vaccinations in accordance with national guidelines.

- Follow-Up Care: Ensure proper documentation and follow-up for all immunization activities.

Administrative Duties:

- Record Keeping: Maintain precise and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

- Data Management: Utilize healthcare software to efficiently manage patient information.

Team Collaboration:

- Interdisciplinary Cooperation: Work collaboratively with GPs, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.

- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional education to stay current with healthcare advancements.

- Mentorship: Support the training and development of junior staff and students.

Quality Assurance:

- Clinical Audits: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits to enhance service delivery.

- Feedback Utilization: Implement changes based on patient and staff feedback to improve healthcare outcomes.

- Infection Control: Follow stringent infection control measures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
