Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist - Endocrinology

Department: Paediatric Endocrinology

Location: Perth Children's Hospital

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Salary: £51,459.00-£54,342.00 per year

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team in the Paediatric Endocrinology Unit at Perth Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care for children with a range of endocrine disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care for children with endocrine disorders, including thyroid conditions, growth and puberty disorders, and pituitary dysfunction.
  • Act as an advocate for patients and families, collaborating with them and other members of the healthcare team to achieve health goals.
  • Demonstrate competence in the planning and delivery of complex care to patients and their families.
  • Supervise and act as a resource for staff in the assessment of patients, development of care plans, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Facilitate the development of staff in clinical competencies, organisational skills and participating in their performance review.
  • Provide expert consultation to inpatient wards, ICU, day treatment unit and wider regional endocrinology management.

Requirements:

  • A registered nurse with experience in paediatrics and a keen interest in endocrinology.
  • A passionate advocate for improving children's health.
  • A strong leader with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability and willingness to direct self-learning.
  • Committed to providing mentorship and role modelling for junior members of the multidisciplinary team.
