Our team is focused on developing sophisticated software for naval combat systems, mine countermeasures, unmanned systems, command and control frameworks, acoustics/sonar, and software safety protocols.

This role is pivotal in driving our strategic objectives, concentrating on software development for naval advancements.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Morson Talent, you will guide and mentor software development teams, utilizing your knowledge to ensure project success.

You will collaborate closely with both internal and external partners to comprehend their requirements and convert them into effective software solutions.

Your daily responsibilities will encompass software development utilizing languages such as C++, Java, and others, system architecture using UML/Enterprise Architect, unit testing, HMI design and development, and configuration management.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team and may need to travel occasionally for testing and integration purposes.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications:
Proven experience in leading software development initiatives.
Experience in managing teams of software engineers, either functionally or in a managerial role.
A degree or equivalent qualification in software engineering or a related field.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, with a preference for experience in military systems, particularly maritime systems.
Familiarity with Open Systems Architectures and Principles.
Extensive experience with Software Engineering Lifecycle processes and tools.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to critically assess results and methods for quality assurance.
Ability to broaden knowledge into new areas, collaborate across disciplines, and maintain a holistic perspective.
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations effectively.

Outstanding written communication skills, particularly in technical documentation, and the capability to engage with both expert and non-expert stakeholders.

Ideally, experience in one or more of the following areas: Maritime Combat Systems, software and equipment integration, mine countermeasures, unmanned systems, command and control frameworks, acoustics/sonar, and software safety standards.
