As a key member of the Software & Systems team, you will be responsible for architecting and leading the development of high-quality, medium-large scale control software applications in LabVIEW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex software applications in LabVIEW for integration into electromechanical ultrasonic measurement and test systems.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to enhance their proficiency in advanced LabVIEW skills.
  • Capture and refine complex software requirements for client-facing projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Provide technical product support to diverse global clientele, including academic institutions, medical device manufacturers, aerospace and defense firms, and non-destructive testing (NDT) applications.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to design and implement software components for new and existing advanced in-house systems, aimed at enhancing manufacturing efficiency and quality control.
  • Write and maintain technical software documentation, including user guides and design documents.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in relevant technologies and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a STEM discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing medium-large scale applications involving hardware integration in LabVIEW.
  • Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA).
  • Experience working within a scrum framework as part of an agile implementation.
  • Experience working with source code control, specifically Git.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of ultrasound.
  • Experience working with motion control systems.
  • Experience working with National Instruments (NI) hardware.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience working within a quality management system and to health & safety standards.
