Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to join Hansen Filler Associates as an Interim Financial Controller. This is a unique opportunity to lead the establishment of a new finance function from scratch.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, with a proven track record of setting up and leading finance teams in large corporate environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead the finance function, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of financial reporting, cash control, and costing systems.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Director to drive the growth of the finance team and support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Provide technical and managerial guidance to the finance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to meet the organization's financial needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller in a large corporate environment.
  • Proven track record of setting up and leading finance teams.
  • Recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Educated to degree standard.
  • Strong technical and managerial skills, with a deep understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
