We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Radiography Service Manager at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the day-to-day provision of Angiography and Fluoroscopy services, working closely with the Interventional Radiology Service Manager and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery of high-quality Angiography and Fluoroscopy services across multiple sites, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality, patient experience, and staff engagement.
- Collaborate with senior staff members across both directorates to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, national standards, and professional guidelines.
- Develop and manage budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve service objectives.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
- DCR (R), BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
- HCPC State Registration DCR or BSc.
- Post-registration qualification (professional or managerial) at MSc/PG Dip level, or extensive equivalent knowledge and experience in Angiographic Imaging.
- Leadership, supervisory, management qualification or equivalent.
- Teaching, coaching, or mentoring qualification or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of project management.
- PRINCE 2 (Projects in Controlled Environments).
- Human Factors training.
- Completed and up-to-date Radiation Protection Supervisor training.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to employ different forms of communication to meet the patient's needs.
- Capable of dealing with challenging behaviours.

- Working knowledge of responsibilities relating to ionising radiation regulations.

- Promote and develop a learning culture that values and supports the development of all staff and learners through appraisal and staff development frameworks, clinical supervision, mentoring, and coaching skills.
- Takes joint responsibility for the operational management providing overall professional leadership for the service and workforce, to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery to planned objectives, using resources effectively and efficiently to improve quality and productivity.
- Excellent written, spoken, and presentational skills. Sound negotiator. Influential and has credibility in the clinical setting.
- Able to take responsibility for clinical governance and radiation safety, working alongside clinical leads and radiation protection advisors/medical physicists; establishing and operating effective risk management, identifying mitigation, and implementing any actions for risk resolution; investigating incidents and complaints; and ensuring SMART action plans are followed through, with learning shared with the wider team.
