Job Summary

The Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer Lead to join their team. As a key member of the Imaging Services department, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day provision of Angiography and Fluoroscopy services, alongside the Interventional Radiology Service Manager.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be required to maintain effective and efficient communication with all relevant staff groups and will be key to the operational priorities within the Imaging Suites. They will be required to maintain effective working relationships with senior staff members across both directorates, reporting on and advising on service demands and delivery, advising on the strategic operational demands of the service in line with present and future needs.

About the Role

The Radiographer Lead will be responsible for the delivery of financial, activity, waiting list and waiting time information to all relevant individuals in line with current guidelines for the local governing commissioning bodies, Public Health England and NHSE. They will also be responsible for the operational management of the Imaging Services department, providing overall professional leadership for the service and workforce, to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery to planned objectives, using resources effectively and efficiently to improve quality and productivity.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the daily working operations across the Trust and acknowledge all directorates' services impact across the care ability of the Trust to achieve its targets and service developments is dependent on the efficient service provided by this Directorate both clinically in patient services, and support services maintenance.
