Main Responsibilities:
  • Transport Facility Management: Oversee the daily management and operation of our regional transport facilities, ensuring seamless logistics and transportation services.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Fleet Maintenance: Schedule and coordinate all regional fleet maintenance, ensuring vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Depot Facility Maintenance: Ensure all depot facility maintenance is completed as instructed, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Driver Management: Manage all daily driver activities, including driver briefing and de-briefing, ensuring drivers are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Vehicle Defect Rectification: Administer and implement vehicle defect rectification in line with legal requirements, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy.
  • Out-of-Hours Support: Provide out-of-hours backup support as part of a roster, ensuring 24/7 coverage.
  • Compliance and Administration: Oversee driver compliance, providing Traffic Office support, including planning and administration functions.
  • Communication: Act as a conduit between regional drivers and central functions, ensuring effective communication and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Call Handling: Handle Transport office calls, including vehicle breakdown recovery and driver-related enquiries.
  • GDPR Compliance: Ensure full compliance with GDPR requirements, protecting the data of all learners and employers in accordance with regulations.
Requirements:
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ability to collaborate with wider stakeholder groups inside and outside the company.
  • Planning and Project Management: Strong planning skills and project management expertise.
  • Time Management and Compliance: Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure while maintaining compliance.
  • IT Skills: Strong IT skills.
  • Team Management: Ability to motivate and engage the team in understanding best practice and compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to develop and maintain a harmonious team working environment, reducing points of conflict and resolving issues promptly.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze data to provide effective management reporting, enabling informed decision-making.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • CPC in Transport Management: CPC in Transport Management.
  • Level 3 Supervisory Management: Level 3 supervisory management qualification (ILM or CMI).
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working within a liquid fuel distribution/transport operation.
