Job Title: Deputy Ward Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at DS Associates. As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will play a key role in providing senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team, supporting the Ward Manager in the day-to-day management and supervision of the ward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Ward Manager in providing management and supervision of a team of registered and unregistered staff.
  • Implement best practice across the ward, ensuring that care and treatment meets the standards set by regulators.
  • Support changes within the service, contributing to service improvement and the delivery of personalised care.
  • Responsible for the clinical direction of the service, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions.
  • Support the Ward Manager in ensuring that care and treatment is provided meets the standards set by regulators.
Requirements:
  • Active Registration with the NMC, meeting the requirements of Revalidation.
  • Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop Continued professional development and leadership.
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Good computer skills, with experience of using electronic patient records and other clinical systems.
  • Experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability services, with a minimum of 3 years post-registration experience.
What We Offer:
