As a key member of the team, reporting directly to the National Fleet & Compliance Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring adherence to compliance standards across all transport operations.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining the fleet to meet all legal and safety regulations, collaborating closely with the National Fleet & Compliance Manager to achieve excellence in transport compliance.
This position is ideal for a seasoned Transport / Fleet Compliance Manager eager to leverage their expertise and commitment to compliance within a forward-thinking organization, significantly impacting the company's transport and fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management: Implement and oversee Fleet & Compliance management software across the organization. Assist the National Fleet & Compliance Manager with fleet management initiatives as necessary.
- Compliance Assurance: Guarantee that all fleet operations adhere to applicable regulations. Conduct regular audits, create and deliver training programs for drivers, and resolve any compliance issues.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support the fleet and administrative team. Mentor and develop your direct reports to enhance performance and establish succession plans.
- Operational Efficiency: Manage the fleet budget, track expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savings. Analyze compliance performance and pinpoint areas for improvement.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience and knowledge in transport operations
- Prior experience in a transport / fleet compliance management capacity
- In-depth understanding of transport compliance regulations
- Experience managing budgets and driving financial accountability through teams
- National CPC certification (mandatory)
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Ideally, experience within central transport functions
- Technically adept, with substantial knowledge of transport management systems
- Dedicated to fostering continuous improvement through process and procedure development
