Fleet Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team at Facilities by ADF. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth management of our fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Fleet Manager with day-to-day driver management and develop and train the driving team to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure road safety and compliance across all sites via regular audits and weekly verification of driver's hours regulations.
- Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant filing of paperwork and conduct at least 3 base audits per week.
- Train staff to use the R2C system and monitor its usage, addressing any issues, and oversee incident reporting and insurer referrals.
- Lead pre-production base compliance meetings and ensure accurate Monday reports, and interview and select employees, ensuring a positive induction to the company.
- Maintain and develop relationships with sub-contractors, agency staff, and clients, and identify and implement site operational efficiency improvements.
- Manage the driver training and assessing team, encouraging timely documentation.
- Fleet/Transport Manager International CPC – you will be one of the named CPC managers for the site.
- Knowledge of Operator Licence Regulations and experience of providing exceptional customer service.
- Experience of compliance auditing processes and flexible working hours to ensure contact time with day, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Good analytical and numerical skills, and desirable knowledge of fleet maintenance systems, training experience, and/or qualification, and recognised health and safety qualification.
- Use of a company van and fuel card, fuel benefit tax (P11d), and private health insurance scheme (after 2 years' service).
