Job Summary

We are seeking an IPS Employment Specialist to join our team in Stoke on Trent. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives by helping them achieve meaningful employment.

Main Duties of the Job

Our IPS Employment Specialists team aims to increase the number of people moving into employment from our drug and alcohol support services. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will work with clients to assess their vocational functioning, develop relationships with stakeholders, and deploy effective employer engagement strategies.

Job Responsibilities

As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing clients' vocational functioning and developing relationships with stakeholders
  • Deploying effective employer engagement strategies to match clients with employment opportunities
  • Working with clients to develop their employability skills and confidence
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to clients in their employment journey

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with:

  • 12 months experience of helping people facing severe labour market disadvantage to obtain or keep work
  • Sound knowledge of best practice in the provision of addictions and/or employability and employment services
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues faced by people in treatment/recovery in the job market, and in employability and employment services
