About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IPS Employment Specialist to join our team in Stoke on Trent. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals with severe labour market disadvantage to obtain or keep work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess clients' vocational functioning and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders, including employers, partner agencies, clients, and their family/carers.
- Deploy effective employer engagement strategies to match individuals with meaningful work opportunities.
- Provide sound knowledge of best practice in the provision of addictions and/or employability and employment services.
- Work with clients to identify their vocational goals and develop a plan to achieve them.
- Collaborate with employers to create job opportunities and provide support to clients in the workplace.
Requirements
- 12 months experience of helping people facing severe labour market disadvantage to obtain or keep work.
- Sound knowledge of best practice in the provision of addictions and/or employability and employment services.
- Knowledge and understanding of issues faced by people in treatment/recovery in the job market, and in employability and employment services.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop relationships with multiple stakeholders, including employers, partner agencies, clients, and their family/carers.
