Job Title: IPS Employment Specialist

We are seeking an experienced IPS Employment Specialist to join our team in Stoke on Trent. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with severe labour market disadvantage to obtain or keep work.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives. Our IPS Employment Specialists team aims to increase the number of people moving into meaningful employment from our drug and alcohol support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients' vocational functioning and develop personalized employment plans
  • Build relationships with employers, partner agencies, and clients to facilitate job placements
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients to help them maintain employment
  • Collaborate with the team to share best practices and improve employment outcomes
Requirements
  • 12 months experience of helping people facing severe labour market disadvantage to obtain or keep work
  • Sound knowledge of best practice in the provision of addictions and/or employability and employment services
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues faced by people in treatment/recovery in the job market
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Desirable Skills
  • A proven track record in placing people into employment and/or in supporting people to achieve sustained employment
  • Understanding of national development priorities and the needs of the business community in relation to employability and employment
  • Good understanding of local labour market
