About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IPS Employment Specialist to join our team at With You, a leading provider of drug, alcohol, and mental health services. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals in their journey towards employment and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients' vocational functioning and develop personalized employment plans
  • Build relationships with employers, partner agencies, and clients to facilitate job placements
  • Conduct job searches and provide job coaching to clients
  • Monitor clients' progress and provide ongoing support
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
  • 12 months experience in helping individuals with severe labour market disadvantage to obtain or keep work
  • Sound knowledge of best practice in addictions and employability services
  • Knowledge of issues faced by people in treatment/recovery in the job market
  • Ability to assess clients' vocational functioning and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of a broad range of occupations and jobs
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deploy effective employer engagement strategies
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Well-developed IT skills, familiar with Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflict
  • Ability to balance competing priorities within tight timescales
Desirable Skills
  • A proven track record in placing people into employment and/or supporting people to achieve sustained employment
  • Understanding of national development priorities and the needs of the business community
  • Good understanding of local labour market
  • Understanding of employment law and employer's responsibility
