Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Transport Assistant to join our team at Secure Care UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and respectful transportation services to vulnerable service users with mental health conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a professional and caring service to patients while in our care, ensuring patient safety remains paramount.
  • Support and transport vulnerable service users as part of a team.
  • Support the care of patients during assessments in line with the Mental Health Act.
  • Maintain high standards of driving and cleanliness while using Company vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of electronic systems for capturing required data.
  • Take accountability for own continual professional development and reflective practice for learning.
  • Achieve business KPIs, goals, and objectives.
  • Ensure all vehicle standards are maintained to the highest level achievable.
Requirements
  • Full UK manual driving license and 1 year minimum driving experience.
  • Experience working in the Care Sector (desirable).

What We Offer
  • Full training, including Patient Care, Patient Transport, De-Escalation Techniques, Physical Intervention, Handcuff training, and First Aid.
  • NVQs available.
  • Salary: £25,800-£26,000 per year for full-time or £ days, nights, and weekends (enhanced pay for work at a Mental Health place of safety and for bed watch activities).
  • Benefits: Healthcare Cash Plan, additional training and continued personal development opportunities, refer a friend scheme.
  • Holiday: 28 days annual leave pro rata.
  • Working Pattern: Flexible and Full-Time (on-call between 4:30am-5:30pm and 7pm-7am Cross over shift, continuous working pattern 10:30am - 11:00pm) or 4 on 4 off shift pattern, alternating between days and nights.
  • Contract: Flexible (no minimum hours) or full-time (hrs p/w).
