At Swift, we play a crucial role in the global financial ecosystem, emphasizing internal controls and maintaining a robust internal audit function. Our Internal Audit team consists of highly skilled professionals dedicated to providing independent evaluations of Swift's risk and control landscape. As the assurance and advisory partner for Swift, our methodologies are designed to enhance value by objectively reviewing, assessing, and reporting on the company's governance, risk management, and control frameworks continuously:
- Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and corporate policies while promoting sound business practices;
- Support the achievement of strategic objectives through a systematic approach to evaluating and enhancing operational effectiveness, particularly in risk management and governance;
- Encourage ongoing improvement.
In our capacity as trusted advisors and independent assurance providers, we also address assurance inquiries from clients and regulatory authorities—an essential function that sustains confidence in Swift as a vital service provider in the global financial sector.
The Internal Audit division operates teams across various regions.
What to Anticipate
As a member of the Audit Team, you will be based in London, adhering to best practices in Internal Audit while making recommendations that contribute to Swift's strategic goals. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Assisting in the execution of assigned audits within established budgets and scopes, gradually progressing to a Lead Auditor role.
- Participating in the development of planning documents.
- Contributing to the formulation of test plans for effective control testing.
- Conducting and documenting audit fieldwork in line with the Internal Audit Manual and validating findings.
- Assisting in the preparation of audit reports and supporting key meetings throughout the audit process.
- Providing timely follow-up on audit recommendations.
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with management and staff.
Key Attributes for Success
- A university degree, preferably in Information Systems.
- Professional certifications (CISA, CISSP, or equivalent) or advanced degrees are advantageous.
- 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in Internal and/or External Audit, Cybersecurity, or IT Security.
- In-depth knowledge of at least three of the following domains: SAP, Cyber defense, security architecture/design, cloud technologies, networks.
- Strong analytical, communication, and planning skills, with a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
- Adept at teamwork, capable of working independently when necessary, and effective in communicating with internal and external stakeholders. The role may involve travel across various regions.
