**Job Summary**

Vermelo RPO is seeking a highly skilled Risk Assurance Specialist to join our Assurance Team. As an Assurance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and delivering across many aspects of our annual risk assurance plan.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Maintain and Execute Risk Assurance Plan**: Responsible for maintaining and executing against assigned areas of the annual risk assurance plan, providing progress updates and outcomes of completed testing.
  • **Reporting and Analysis**: Responsible for reporting results and proposed actions back to operational management to agree actions for any areas where controls and processes could be improved.
  • **Stakeholder Management**: Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to follow up on actions, supporting timely completion and escalating effectively when necessary.
  • **Risk Metrics and Reporting**: Support with reporting by providing insight on risk metrics and risk assurance activities.
  • **Scope and Planning**: Input into the scope areas for the annual risk assurance plan.
  • **Assurance Records**: Maintenance of assurance records including updating the Risk Management System with reports and action tracking evidence.

**Requirements:**

  • **Qualifications**: Appropriate qualifications (ICA / IRM / IIA) or willingness to work towards.
  • **Experience**: Previous experience of testing approaches.
  • **Analytical Skills**: Strong maths, analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • **Planning and Communication**: Planning skills, communicating and influencing.
  • **Continuous Improvement**: Continuous improvement.

**Desirable Qualifications and Experience:**

  • Additional qualifications or experience in the areas of:
  • IT audit / assurance.
  • Data and information governance.
  • Risk management.
  • Knowledge of audit / assurance and risk management frameworks.
  • Insurance industry understanding.
  • FCA regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of working closely with senior management.
