We are looking for a proactive and passionate Lead Technical Pharmacy Officer to enhance our pharmacy operations. This role involves facilitating the distribution of medications within our healthcare facilities and assisting with various administrative responsibilities to support the Clinical Pharmacy team.

The successful candidate will primarily operate within the Clinical Pharmacy Team but may also provide support across other areas as needed.

Strong communication and IT proficiency are essential to ensure all tasks are executed with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses the following duties:

  • Oversee daily inventory replenishment for wards and departments.
  • Maintain close communication with external suppliers.
  • Actively engage in inventory management and control.
  • Follow up on outstanding orders and address any issues promptly.
  • Respond to urgent requests with priority.
  • Inform the senior technician of any anticipated delays in stock availability.
  • Assist the team with various administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with the senior technician on daily operations.
  • Aid in managing drug alerts and notifications.
  • Participate in audits for safe and secure medication storage.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess the NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, with current and relevant practice.
