About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate midwife to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a midwife for vulnerable women, you will provide exceptional care to women who require additional support and guidance throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postnatal journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide antenatal and postnatal care to vulnerable women, including those with complex safeguarding issues, mental health concerns, and learning disabilities.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with individuals and groups, including those with complex needs.
  • Contribute to the development of services and improve quality of care for vulnerable women.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for women and their families.
  • Participate in audit and benchmarking activities to improve practice and inform service development.

Requirements

  • Registered Midwife (NMC) with 2 years of experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a management structure and prioritize tasks.
  • Computer literate and able to use relevant systems.
  • Understanding of clinical governance and quality standards.
