About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate midwife to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a midwife for vulnerable women, you will provide exceptional care to women who require additional support and guidance throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postnatal journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide antenatal and postnatal care to vulnerable women, including those with complex safeguarding issues, mental health concerns, and learning disabilities.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with individuals and groups, including those with complex needs.
- Contribute to the development of services and improve quality of care for vulnerable women.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for women and their families.
- Participate in audit and benchmarking activities to improve practice and inform service development.
Requirements
- Registered Midwife (NMC) with 2 years of experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a management structure and engage with non-health agencies.
- Computer literate and able to maintain accurate records.
- Understanding of clinical governance and quality standards.
