About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate midwife to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a midwife for vulnerable women, you will provide exceptional care to women who require additional support and guidance throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postnatal journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide antenatal and postnatal care to vulnerable women, including those with complex safeguarding issues, mental health concerns, and learning disabilities.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with individuals and groups, including those with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
  • Contribute to the development of services and improve quality of care for vulnerable women and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support for women and their families.
  • Participate in audit and benchmarking activities to evaluate and improve care pathways.

Requirements

  • Registered Midwife (NMC) with 2 years of experience in midwifery care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, public health, and safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
  • Computer literate and able to use electronic patient records and other clinical systems.
