Job Title: Midwife Consultant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Midwife Consultant to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Midwife Consultant, you will play a key role in providing expert clinical knowledge and practice, leading midwifery-led care, and promoting high standards of clinical care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead midwifery-led care and provide expert clinical knowledge and practice.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote high standards of clinical care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet the specific needs of pregnant women.
  • Provide clinical leadership for all practices involving midwifery-led care.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of services or aspects of service against national and local KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Registered Midwife.
  • Teaching accreditation: ENB 997/ or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant practice at Band 8A and above.
  • Car driver.
Desirable:
  • Masters degree, or working towards a Masters degree.
  • Professional Midwifery Advocate.
  • Accredited Management training.
