We are seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Midwife to join our team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Midwife, you will play a key role in leading and developing midwifery services, providing expert clinical guidance, and promoting evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of midwifery services, ensuring they are safe, effective, and meet the needs of our patients.
- Provide expert clinical guidance and support to midwives and other healthcare professionals, promoting best practice and improving patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring they are evidence-based and aligned with national and local standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care and outcomes, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
- Develop and deliver education and training programs for midwives and other healthcare professionals, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
- Registered Midwife with a strong background in midwifery practice and leadership.
- Teaching accreditation and experience in education and training.
- Recent relevant practice at Band 8A and above.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex data and information, making informed decisions to improve patient care and outcomes.
