Job Title: SEND Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Assistant to join our team at a large SEN School in South Manchester. The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who require additional support due to SEMH/SEND.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with barriers to learning across the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher with managing classroom behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for all pupils

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Coach, Youth Worker or Support Worker
  • Experience working with pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years
  • Current DBS registration or willingness to apply for a new one
