Job Title: SEND Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Support Assistant to join our team at a large SEN School in South Manchester. As a SEND Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with barriers to learning and challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour in a 1:1 setting
  • Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and supporting pupils with barriers to learning
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils, promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Coach, Youth Worker, or Support Worker
  • Experience working with pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years
  • Current DBS registration or willingness to apply for a new one
